Les Paul’s Big Sound Experience Visits Texas State University

Les Paul – The Tour is coming to college campuses as part of the CAMPVS program featuring stops with university partners and select Campus DJ and College Battle of the Bands events. The next stop is at the Village on Telluride, a student-housing group at Texas State University, San Marcos, on March 05, 2016.
Les Paul’s Big Sound Experience, the 53’ interactive mobile tour which is making its way across the United States is making the special stop to join the Village on Telluride’s Campus DJ Block Party event starting at 5p CST on March 5. The Campus DJ event will feature a competition amongst the region’s top College DJs, and a headlining set by rising star: Styles & Complete, and special guest performance by MSCLS. The event will feature a variety of giveaway and other programming with Campus DJ including Chipotle and Monster Energy and more. The celebration is free for area college students and the public to attend with RSVP on the event facebook page HERE.
Everyone who visits will have the opportunity to experience the life of Les Paul through extraordinary interactive musical experiences on board the tour. Students and visitors will have the chance to take the tour and learn all about the fascination that led Les Paul to become one of the greatest music innovators of all time. The 53’ interactive state-of-the-art mobile tour takes visitors behind the scenes into the world of Les Paul giving them an opportunity for numerous interactive exchanges within 1,000 square feet full of music, technology and the energy of Les Paul! Guests can immerse themselves in music exploration, sound and technology innovations and hands-on interactive entertainment.
Les Paul’s Big Sound Experience at Texas State will also be open for a special sneak preview on Friday March 4, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. for student and academic viewing, ahead of the main concert event on March 5th from 5:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m, which will be open to the public and all concert attendees.
As part of the tour, the Les Paul Foundation will also be offering college students a semester-wide guitar raffle giveaway, collecting entries online and on the ground. To enter the raffle contest, students share an image on instagram or twitter tagging “#LESPAUL100 @COLLEGEBATTLE” and include why they should win.
