2011 Les Paul Launchpad Award Winner Announced

Chase Promenade, a pop/rock band from Wilmot Union High School won the coveted Wisconsin’s Les Paul Launchpad Award.
The four piece band from southeastern Wisconsin includes Matt Spatol, Billy Akers, Brandon Kempf and Tony Diaz. At the final rounds of competition the foursome filled the theater with music and energy, obviously pleasing the judges.

The next step for Chase Promenade is a set of two gigs at Milwaukee’s Summerfest, which is billed as the World’s Largest Music Festival.

The foursome will share billing with Stephen Marley, Loretta Lynn, Def Leppard, Pop Evil, Peter Frampton, Jon Paris, the Goo Goo Dolls, Britney Spears and others.

All thirteen finalist bands will perform at Summerfest from July 2 through July 9th. The Chase Promenade band will have its second Summerfest gig on July 10th.
